The The Roving Maintenance Technician provides maintenance support across a portfolio of multifamily communities, assisting with staffing coverage, work orders, unit turns, renovations, and general property maintenance needs. This role supports safe, efficient property operations while delivering quality service and maintaining resident satisfaction across assigned communities.

Important Position Information:

  • Full-time floating position supporting multiple communities throughout Colorado
  • Daily and weekly travel between assigned properties is required
  • Schedule and property assignments may vary based on operational needs and staffing coverage
  • Participation in an on-call rotation may be required
  • Monthly mileage reimbursement provided

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete general maintenance work orders, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and general building maintenance
  • Assist with unit turns, make-readies, renovations, and punch list completion
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of building systems and common areas
  • Provide temporary maintenance support for properties experiencing staffing shortages, high workload, or special projects
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and after-hours calls as scheduled
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work orders and maintenance activities
  • Follow OSHA, company, and property safety standards and procedures
  • Interact professionally with residents, vendors, and on-site teams to ensure excellent customer service
  • Travel between assigned communities based on operational and staffing needs
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous multifamily, facilities, or building maintenance experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and general maintenance practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently and prioritize multiple tasks and properties
  • Valid driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, reliable transportation, and acceptable motor vehicle driving history required
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to learn and utilize maintenance software and mobile work order systems
  • HVAC, CPO, or other trade certifications preferred

SUPERVISORY EXPECTATIONS:

This position does not have any supervisory duties.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
