Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ respiratory function and medical history.
- Develop and implement personalised treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
- Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, ventilator support, and aerosol treatments.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust protocols as necessary.
- Operate and maintain specialised respiratory equipment, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are upheld.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions and management strategies.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within medical records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist or similar role within a healthcare setting.
- Certification in Respiratory Therapy recognised by relevant professional bodies.
- Knowledge of current respiratory care practices, equipment, and technology.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions to patients and team members.
