Respiratory Therapist (Schedule: Saturday/Sunday Day Shift, Wednesday Night Shift)
JOB SUMMARY:
- The Respiratory Therapist provides safe, competent, and ethical respiratory cardiopulmonary care to all patients. Provides leadership and direction for those employees with lesser training. Complies with and supports Department and Hospital mission statement. The Respiratory Therapist also produces a high level of quality care with concern for efficiency, cost effectiveness, and communication. Maintains department equipment ready for use and demonstrates satisfactory understanding of use of all equipment. All other duties as assigned as appropriate according to the scope of practice.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree and a credential of *Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Current Nevada RRT. Certified or Registered by the NBRC. Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS required. NV Blood Gas License required.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Previous Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.
