The Role
Liaison with RTA: • Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and governmental authorities, ensuring smooth communication. • Foster positive working relationships with regulatory bodies, authorities, and other relevant stakeholders. • Attend and represent the company at meetings with authorities to ensure all concerns are addressed. • Permit and Documentation Management: • Coordinate the submission of all documentation required for permits and approvals. • Track and follow up on the status of all permits and licenses for the project. • Ensure all project documentation, including designs, reports, and approvals, is complete and up-to-date for regulatory review. • Identify any regulatory risks or potential delays in project approval processes and work to mitigate them. • Advise project teams on how to address regulatory requirements and avoid non-compliance issues. • Provide timely updates to senior management regarding any regulatory challenges. • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., project managers, architects, engineers) to ensure that all regulatory requirements are considered during the design, planning, and execution phases. • Ensure project teams are aware of all regulatory deadlines and work to keep projects on schedule. • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to both internal teams and regulatory authorities. • Maintain records of all communication, approvals, permits, and regulatory actions related to the project. • Provide technical consultation to the project team on compliance matters and liaise with external consultants when necessary. • Advise on any changes in local laws or regulations that may affect project design or implementation. • Resolve any issues or disputes that may arise between the company and regulatory authorities. • Ensure that any compliance-related problems are addressed promptly and effectively. • Provide training to internal teams regarding regulatory requirements and compliance protocols. • Keep the team informed about relevant changes in regulatory policies or procedures
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications: • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.), Architecture, or a related field. • Experience: Typically, 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, particularly in large-scale projects involving interaction with authorities. Knowledge: • Strong understanding of local regulations, building codes, permits, and standards. • Familiarity with project management tools and software. • Knowledge of construction, engineering, and architectural processes. • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with government bodies, stakeholders, and internal teams. • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle regulatory challenges and find solutions that allow projects to stay on track.
