Safety Assistant

At Crete Carrier, safety is at the heart of everything we do. For over 50 years, we’ve built a reputation for stability, integrity, and putting people first. As a Safety Assistant you’ll play a key behind-the-scenes role in helping our drivers stay qualified, safe, and ready to roll.

What You’ll Do:

As a Safety Team Support Specialist, you’ll play a key role in keeping our drivers safe, qualified, and compliant. Depending on your team, you may focus on reviewing driver applications, supporting new hire onboarding, or maintaining qualification records for current drivers. Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing applications and preparing approval logs
• Gathering and organizing documents for new hires
• Managing driver qualification files and medical updates
• Supporting return-to-work processes
• Handling incoming calls, mail, and general office tasks
• Communicating compliance requirements to drivers
• Assisting with drug testing and physical scheduling
• Staying organized and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Experience in safety, compliance, or administrative support is a plus

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm & occasional Saturdays: 8am - 12pm
