Safety Assistant

Job Title: Safety Assistant (Construction)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Assistant with experience in the construction industry to support our HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) team. The ideal candidate will assist in implementing safety policies, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with UAE safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation and enforcement of HSE policies and procedures on construction sites
• Conduct regular safety inspections and report hazards or unsafe practices
• Support toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions
• Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
• Monitor compliance with local safety regulations and company standards
• Assist in incident investigations and preparation of reports
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all workers
• Coordinate with site supervisors to promote a strong safety culture

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Safety Assistant or similar role in a construction company (UAE experience preferred)
• Basic knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and construction safety standards
• NEBOSH/IOSH certification or equivalent is preferred
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
• Proficiency in MS Office is an advantage
