Safety Coordinator

Job Title: Warehouse Steel Safety Coordinator (Bilingual – English/Spanish)
Department: Warehouse / Production
Reports To: Safety Manager / Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Warehouse Steel Safety Coordinator is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe work environment within steel warehouse and production operations. This role ensures compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry standards, while supporting employees through training, audits, and incident prevention. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish) and able to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily warehouse and production activities to ensure safe handling of steel materials
• Enforce company safety policies and procedures
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
• Investigate workplace incidents and near-misses and document findings
• Provide safety training to employees (English/Spanish)
• Ensure proper use of PPE (gloves, helmets, safety glasses, etc.)
• Work closely with supervisors to correct unsafe behaviors and conditions
• Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and compliance documentation
• Assist with OSHA compliance and workplace safety programs
• Support emergency response procedures and drills
• Promote a strong safety culture across all shifts

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
• Previous experience in warehouse, steel, or manufacturing environment preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, reporting systems)
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Safety certifications (OSHA 10/30) preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to lift up to 50–60 lbs if needed
• Comfortable working in a warehouse/industrial environment
• Exposure to noise, heavy machinery, and steel materials

Work Schedule

• Must be flexible to work day or night shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed

Additional Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
