The Safety Engineer will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring safety programs, procedures, and systems to ensure a safe working environment. The role involves identifying hazards, assessing risks, and providing technical support to maintain compliance with local and international safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs across the organization.
  • Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and safety audits for projects, sites, and operations.
  • Monitor compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations and standards.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and management to integrate safety measures into operations.
  • Conduct safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
  • Maintain records of safety performance, incidents, and regulatory compliance.
  • Recommend improvements in processes, equipment, and practices to enhance safety.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across all teams.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in safety engineering, preferably in [industry, e.g., construction, oil & gas, manufacturing].
  • Knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, ISO 45001).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Certification in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) preferred.

Pay: From QAR3,500.00 per month
