Safety Technician

Awtad is seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support the implementation and monitoring of workplace safety programs to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. You will assist in conducting safety inspections, identifying hazards, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
• Report and document safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
• Provide safety training and awareness sessions to employees.
• Investigate safety incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain safety equipment and ensure proper use and maintenance.
• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Technical diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety-related role.
• Knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards.
• Strong observational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in safety management software and tools.
