Job Description


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety, Health & Environment Specialist IV to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this senior-level position, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety, health, and environmental management programs across our organization.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain SHE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local and international regulations
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification to proactively address potential safety and environmental concerns
  • Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analyses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Design and deliver safety training programs to enhance employee awareness and promote a culture of safety
  • Perform regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze SHE data and prepare comprehensive reports for management, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Manage SHE-related projects and initiatives to continuously enhance the organization's safety performance
  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate SHE considerations into business operations and decision-making processes
  • Stay current with changes in UAE labor laws and international safety standards, ensuring the organization remains compliant

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent international certification
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in safety, health, and environmental management
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing SHE policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations, and environmental management systems
  • Expertise in risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation techniques
  • Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and project management
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in conducting safety audits and inspections
  • Knowledge of UAE labor laws and regulations related to occupational safety and health
  • Familiarity with international safety standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills preferred
