SUMMARY OF POSITION
As an industry leading Environmental Remediation & Demolition Contractor since 1985, EnviroVantage, Inc is looking to add to our incredible team. Servicing projects Nationwide, and across the Caribbean, EnviroVantage is recognized as a trusted authority for all Government, Commercial & Industrial projects involving proper Hazardous materials handling and Demolition.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Manager to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that all safety regulations, guidelines, and best practices are followed, minimizing hazards and ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Collaborate with the project teams to evaluate risks and develop control measures to enhance worker safety.
- Conduct ongoing safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote a safety-first culture.
- Ensure that all employees are well-informed about safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Stay updated on local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA and environmental guidelines, and ensure adherence.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of safety meetings, inspections, and incident reports.
- Assist in safety audits and inspections by regulatory agencies, and ensure any findings are corrected in a timely manner.
- Investigate and report accidents, injuries, and near-misses on-site, identifying the root cause and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain records of incidents, conduct follow-up actions, and analyze trends to prevent reoccurrence.
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of PPE (e.g., helmets, goggles, gloves, etc.) by all workers.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on safety performance, compliance status, and incidents.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Operations, and other departments to promote safety awareness.
- Act as a liaison between the company, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety role within the construction, environmental, or related industries.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other industry-specific safety regulations.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment, hazard analysis, and accident investigation procedures.
- Ability to conduct safety audits and inspections.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel for up to a week at a time.
- Ability to access military bases.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department and the organization’s facilities.

Compensation
- Compensation Range: $75,000 - $90,000/year
- Actual compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location.
