Safety Member

Description:

The position of safety member consists of protecting property, assets, or people. Duties and responsibilities include guarding, patrolling, monitoring premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. This is a temporary and seasonal position for City Center. The position requires flexibility in shifts, including weekends and overnight shifts.

What you’ll do (just the basics):

• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Call the police or fire department in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Monitor and authorize entrance or departures of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of premises.
• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and evict violators from premises.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying and doing, and to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
• De-escalate situations and apply conflict resolution techniques
• Previous security experience is preferred
