The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Saudi Aramco Approved - Safety Officer to oversee and ensure the safe Well Testing Services & Maintenance at highest standards of health and safety on our onshore oil and gas rigs in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in promoting a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading safety initiatives to protect personnel and assets. Responsibilities: - Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures on the rigs to ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco Safety regulations and company standards. - Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions in activities for Well Testing Services and Maintenance. - Lead safety training sessions and toolbox talks to raise awareness and promote safe work practices among all rig personnel. - Investigate incidents and near misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending preventive measures. - Collaborate with operational teams to integrate safety considerations into daily activities and project planning. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and industry best practices. - Manage emergency response plans and coordinate drills to ensure preparedness in case of accidents or emergencies. - Prepare and submit safety reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field preferred. - Proven experience as a Safety Officer in the oil and gas industry, particularly on onshore rigs. - Strong knowledge of local Saudi safety regulations and international safety standards. - Excellent observational and analytical skills with the ability to identify potential hazards proactively. - Effective communication and training skills to engage and instruct diverse teams. - Certification in safety management or related professional qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable. - Ability to work under pressure and make decisive safety-related decisions. - Willingness to relocate and work in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, with flexibility for site requirements.
