Safety Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management, with relevant academic qualifications and NEBOSH certification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and company standards.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports.
  • Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
  • Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with site teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Monitor use of PPE and enforce safety practices on-site.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities when required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or equivalent).
  • NEBOSH Certification (IGC or equivalent) is mandatory.
  • Minimum [X] years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates on Visit Visa or with Cancelled Visa status.
  • Immediate availability to join.
