Job Title: Safety Officer

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Safety Officer to oversee and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices across the plant. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, preventing accidents, and promoting a strong safety culture on site.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures across the plant

Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments

Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices by all staff

Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions

Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare reports

Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs

Ensure compliance with local regulations and company safety standards

Monitor work permits (hot work, confined space, working at height, etc.)

Maintain safety records, documentation, and reports

Coordinate emergency response drills and preparedness plans

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field

NEBOSH or equivalent safety certification preferred

Experience in industrial or chemical plant safety

Knowledge of risk assessment, HAZOP, and safety procedures

Familiarity with UAE safety regulations is an advantage

Strong attention to detail

Good observation and hazard identification skills

Clear communication and reporting ability

Proactive and responsible approach to safety

Ability to enforce rules while maintaining good working relationships

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
