Safety Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Safety Officer to ensure workplace safety, compliance with UAE labour laws, and adherence to international safety standards (OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO). The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and monitor safety procedures to minimize risks and create a secure working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, HSE regulations, and company policies.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard identification to prevent workplace accidents.
• Safety Training: Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; maintain records and report findings with corrective actions.
• PPE Compliance: Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by employees.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans, fire safety procedures, and evacuation drills.
• Site Inspections: Conduct routine safety inspections and audits of the workplace to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation as per UAE regulatory requirements.
• Coordination: Work with project managers, engineers, and government authorities to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications: NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent HSE certifications are mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum 0-2 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the UAE.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with UAE labor laws, HSE regulations, and international safety standards.
• Skills: Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Language: Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is a plus.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to work on-site and conduct field inspections in varying conditions.
