Safety Officer - Construction

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at our construction / industrial sites. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies, monitoring site activities, and promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures on site
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with local authority and project safety requirements
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions
• Monitor use of PPE and safe work practices
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports
• Maintain HSE records, permits, and documentation
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and supervisors
• Support audits, inspections, and authority visits
• Stop unsafe work practices and enforce safety rules
• Promote safety awareness among workers

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification (mandatory)
• 5–7 years experience as Safety Officer in construction / industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards
• UAE experience and local authority knowledge preferred
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Immediate joiners preferred
