Job Purpose:

To ensure that all construction activities are carried out in compliance with UAE safety regulations, company HSE policies, and project-specific safety standards. The Safety Officer is responsible for monitoring site operations, identifying risks, conducting safety training, and ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel on site.

Key Responsibilities:1. Site Safety Monitoring

  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with HSE policies and legal requirements.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and practices; take immediate corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper implementation of Work Permits, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, and other safety systems.

2. Risk Assessment & Control Measures

  • Assist in preparing Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Monitor high-risk activities (working at heights, lifting operations, confined spaces, scaffolding, hot works, etc.).
  • Ensure all workers follow risk control measures and safety guidelines.

3. Training & Awareness

  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety induction training, and awareness sessions.
  • Promote HSE culture through continuous education and motivation of workers.
  • Ensure all workers are aware of their responsibilities and PPE requirements.

4. Incident & Accident Management

  • Respond to incidents and emergencies as per the site emergency plan.
  • Conduct initial investigation into accidents, near-misses, and unsafe acts.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports with corrective and preventive actions.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain safety logs, inspection checklists, training records, and statutory documents.
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports to HSE Manager.
  • Assist in preparing HSE audit reports and follow-up actions.

6. Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, including:
  • OSHA standards
  • Dubai Municipality (DM) / Abu Dhabi OSHAD requirements
  • Civil Defense guidelines
  • Local authority safety regulations
  • Ensure subcontractors adhere to project HSE standards.

7. PPE & Safety Equipment Management

  • Ensure the availability and proper use of PPE.
  • Inspect safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, harnesses, scaffolding platforms, and machinery safety guards.

8. Coordination

  • Work closely with engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to address safety issues.
  • Participate in site coordination, HSE meetings, and client audits.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month

Education:

  • Diploma (Required)

Experience:

  • Construction/Site in UAE: 2 years (Required)
