We are looking for a Safety Officer, at least 5- 7 Years of work experience in the UAE in the Construction Background.
Safety Officer Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and company standards.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness programs for staff and workers.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to enforce safety protocols.
- Maintain safety documentation, permits, and incident records.
- Train and mentor junior safety officers and site personnel.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly safety reports to management.
- Ensure availability and proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide guidance on corrective measures.
Safety Officer Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in construction or industrial safety (UAE experience preferred).
- NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA certification or equivalent is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment, and incident investigation
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to train, supervise, and motivate site personnel.
- Ability to work on site with multicultural teams.
