Safety Officer (HSE Officer)

Job Title: Safety Officer (HSE Officer) – Civil Construction Projects
Salary: AED 3,000 – 4,000 per month

Job Description:

We are seeking a responsible and experienced Safety Officer (HSE Officer) with a strong background in civil construction projects to ensure safe working practices across project sites. The candidate will be responsible for implementing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards in compliance with UAE regulations, client requirements, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, monitor, and enforce HSE policies and procedures across civil construction sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure safe execution of construction activities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations, consultant requirements, and project safety standards.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions for site workers and subcontractors.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as excavation, scaffolding, lifting, and concrete works.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and promote a strong safety culture across all site personnel.
• Coordinate closely with project engineers, site engineers, and subcontractors to resolve safety issues.
• Maintain all safety documentation, permits, inspection records, and compliance reports.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety.
• NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory (or equivalent HSE qualification).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in civil construction projects in a safety role.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, site activities, and associated risks.
• Good knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and construction safety standards.
• Strong communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
• Ability to conduct safety training and enforce compliance on site.
• Valid UAE driving license preferred.
