Safety Officer – Pharmaceutical Industry
Experience
1 year of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Key Responsibilities1. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Saudi HSE regulations and pharmaceutical GMP requirements
- Follow guidelines issued by:
- Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA)
- Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development
2. Workplace Safety Management
- Implement Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies across the plant
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for:
- Tablet production areas
- Capsule production areas
- Injection/sterile blocks
3. Safety Training
- Deliver safety training programs for employees
- Conduct:
- Emergency drills
- Fire safety training
- Chemical handling training
4. Incident Investigation
- Investigate:
- Workplace accidents
- Near-miss incidents
- Unsafe conditions
- Develop and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
5. Safety Inspections
- Perform routine inspections of:
- Chemical storage areas
- Solvent storage yard
- Utility areas
- Production floors
6. Emergency Preparedness
- Coordinate with civil defense authorities for fire protection systems
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans
7. Documentation
- Maintain and update:
- Safety records
- Incident reports
- Training logs
- Risk assessment reports
QualificationsEducation
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following:
- Occupational Safety
- Environmental Engineering
- Industrial Safety
- Chemical Engineering
Preferred Certifications
- NEBOSH IGC
- OSHA Certification
- Fire Safety Training
- Registration with Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ﷼10,000.00 - ﷼13,000.00 per month
