Safety Officer - Traffic Works

Key Responsibilities

· Implement and maintain traffic management plans (TMP) for traffic signal works, diversions, and lane closures.

· Ensure proper installation and maintenance of traffic signs, cones, barriers, and diversion boards.

· Monitor safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians around work area.

· Identify unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.

· Coordinate with traffic control teams and contractor for safe execution of works.

· Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (e.g., municipality/transport authority standards)

· Conduct regular site inspections and hazard assessments in traffic work zones

· Maintain compliance with project-specific HSE requirements and procedures.

· Review and implement risk assessments related to traffic signal work.

· Ensure all permits (road opening permits, work permits, lane closure approvals) are valid.

· Verify proper control measures before commencement of any traffic-related activity

· Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for traffic marshals and site workers

· Train personnel on traffic control procedures and emergency response

Qualifications & Requirements

· Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering / safety / related field

· HSE certification (NEBOSH / IOSH)

· Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in traffic safety/ construction

· Knowledge of ADOSH requirements.

Pay: AED2,018.57 - AED7,501.51 per month
