Excelsior Safety is looking for multiple Safety Professionals to join our team! We are currently seeking full-time consultants for multiple industry leading clients.

Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to the greater Columbus, OH area. Per Diem or relocation assistance may be available.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Site Safety Manager/director and assist with oversight of employees and enforcement of safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect site for compliance with company safety rules and regulations as well as all federal, state and local agencies guidelines.
• Assist with the training and orientation of all employees.
• Manage training records, inspection sheets, audits, and other documents related occupational safety.
• Investigate incidents to determine root cause.
• Ensure that all safety equipment is in good condition and ensure that safety procedures are followed when using equipment.
• Assist with incident investigations as needed.
• Observe morning safety discussions with tradespeople to discuss hazards and controls.
• Conduct daily site inspections and maintain a site presence.
• Prepare and conduct weekly toolbox talks and stand-downs as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A degree in Occupational Safety, or similar; or, 7 year's in a dedicated (construction) safety role and a CHST (or other BCSP certification).
• Background check, credit check, MVR, and drug screen may be required (will vary by position).
• Knowledge of all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Ability to recognize hazardous acts and behaviors, and coach workers in the field to control hazards.
• Knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual candidates
• "Mega-project" experience (power plants, airports, hospitals, data centers, and large infrastructure)
• Experience managing subcontractors
• ASP or CSP certification

• Associate (Required)

Experience:

• General Contractor: 5 years (Preferred)
