Safey & HR Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and organized Safety & HR Manager to oversee safety compliance and human resources operations for our growing trucking company. This role is responsible for managing DOT safety programs, driver compliance, recruitment, onboarding, and overall HR administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety & Compliance:

  • Oversee DOT compliance and FMCSA regulations
  • Manage driver qualification files and safety records
  • Monitor HOS, ELD compliance, and CSA scores
  • Conduct safety training and meetings
  • Handle accident investigations and corrective actions
  • Maintain company safety policies and procedures

Human Resources:

  • Recruit, screen, and onboard drivers
  • Manage employee records and personnel files
  • Oversee drug & alcohol testing programs
  • Handle employee relations and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
  • Support payroll coordination and benefits administration

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in trucking safety and/or HR required
  • Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • Experience with driver hiring and compliance processes
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities

Compensation:
Pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
