Sagamore Clinical Manager

Summary:
The Clinical Manager will provide leadership to a skilled, dedicated team of mental health professionals and oversee a comprehensive system of social services, case management, education, treatment planning, and discharge planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Designs and implements the treatment protocols and best clinical practices employed within the agency;
  • Provide Animal Assisted Therapy
  • Develop plans and protocols for new clinical and program staff training along with the Training Director;
  • Ensures appropriate assessments for all consumers served;
  • Reviews fidelity of service models and quality;
  • Provides the necessary clinical and evidenced based training as allowed underneath their clinical license such as CBT training;
  • Provides 24/7 emergency response backup in the event of clinician absenteeism;
  • Provides support and clinical recommendations as needed pertaining to admission, discharge, and triage decisions;
  • Identifies and implements clinical evaluation/assessment tools and protocols:
  • Collects monthly statistics and outcome reporting in collaboration with quality management staff.
  • Collaborate with Chief Clinical Officer, Medical Manager, and new clinical staff to ensure that clinical expertise is available at all levels of the organization.
  • Ensures continuity of care through development of strong collaborative relationships with other agencies, providers, and policymakers.
  • Actively promotes and maintains communication with contracting and referring agencies, as well as CCNC Providers.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of agency policies and procedures and accrediting body standards as well as those of the state and other management entities guiding the clinical practices of the organization;
  • Accurately documents all billable encounters (therapy notes) into Southeastern Integrated Care’s EMR (electronic medical record) system within 24 hours. Any corrections will be entered within 24 hours of being notified;
  • Assists the Director of Youth Clinical Services in ensuring that recipients are receiving the recommended authorized time allowed per payor;
  • Travels as needed to various offices, meetings, and conferences.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not oversee staff.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience
  • Clinical licensures such as LCSW-A/LCSW, LCMHC-A/LCMHC, LMFT-A/LMFT, or LPA;
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in direct practice that involves knowledge of mental illnesses and treatment methods, psychopharmacology and practices used in psychiatric disorders;
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in developing/facilitating psycho-educational, prevention, and/or therapeutic support groups focused on contemporary social problems and mental health issues;
  • Experience with intensive, wraparound, home-based clinical services;
  • Extensive experience collaborating with state agencies such as LME/MCO, DMA, DHHS, and MH/SA/DD.

  • Ability to negotiate, problem solve, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient computer skills;
  • Ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team;
  • Culturally competent;
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Offices/Google Workspace applications;

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Clinical licensures such as LCSW-A/LCSW, LCMHC-A/LCMHC, LMFT-A/LMFT, or LPA;
