Responsibilities

  • Assist the dental team during various procedures, including chairside support for pediatric and general dentistry treatments
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilization techniques following infection control protocols
  • Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper technique and patient safety
  • Manage patient records accurately using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times
  • Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
  • Support the dental receptionist with appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and medical documentation updates
  • Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy
  • Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Epic or medical coding is a plus
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and effectively; certification in radiography preferred
  • Strong understanding of infection control practices, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques
  • Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with children is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide outstanding patient service
  • Certification in dental assisting or relevant training; knowledge of medical terminology and medical records management is advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
