Job Summary

Athena Specialty Group is seeking a Sales Account Executive to join our growing team! We are a mobile wound care organization expanding nationally, and we’re building a driven, supportive, and high-performing sales team.

We’re looking for a motivated candidate with strong existing relationships in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Primary Care Offices, Specialty Practices, Home Health Agencies, and/or Assisted Living Facilities.

This role focuses on marketing and promoting Athena’s comprehensive wound care services throughout the East Phoenix territory. You will partner with leadership to implement strategic sales plans and exceed growth goals. The ideal candidate is flexible, highly motivated, and both sales- and service-oriented.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily sales calls to targeted accounts, physicians, and referral sources.
  • Create and maintain call plans to qualify new referrals and support existing accounts.
  • Enter call plans and outcomes into the CRM system.
  • Partner with account directors and clinical leadership to promote the value of Athena’s clinical services.
  • Collaborate with case managers, home health agencies, referral sources, and discharge planners to ensure smooth patient transitions.
  • Assist in connecting case managers with Athena clinical staff for post-discharge updates.
  • Identify on-site educational opportunities for account staff.
  • Provide continuing education programs as needed.
  • Build and strengthen strategic relationships that enhance patient care.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the referral process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Two years of medical sales experience preferred

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Successful completion of Athena’s training and competency assessments
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Ability to meet DOT requirements for use of Athena-owned vehicles
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
  • Must reside within the assigned territory

Language Skills

  • English (reading, writing, verbal)
