Role description:

This is a fast-paced role in which you will be given autonomy to deliver outstanding support to your team, our distributors and our end customers.

Your role will be part of our established team within the Middle East and Africa Industrial Division.

The role requires an inclusive team player, to challenge the limits, move fast and deliver by demonstrating their communication and analytical skills, sometimes in a pressured environment, and to take ownership by being self-motivated to nurture the existing business and help grow the future potential business.

Key tasks & responsibilities:

  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals for both new equipment and aftersales services, and coordinate purchase orders between customers, distributors, and Alimak Group factories.
  • Conduct thorough CRM and market intelligence database screening, ensuring timely updates and accurate reporting.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports and updates to both internal teams and external customers or distributors.
  • Manage company registration processes with customers’ approved vendor lists efficiently.
  • Consistently provide a superior level of accuracy, organization, and clarity in reporting and presentations, exceeding the expectations typically set for Sales and Project Engineers; ensure information is delivered to management and customers in a clear, concise, and professional format.
  • Take full ownership and responsibility for responding to and addressing requests promptly, both internally and externally, while maintaining organized, up-to-date records that are readily accessible to management.
  • Ensure all documentation—including reports, quotations, and order acknowledgements—is completed fully, accurately, legibly, and in a timely manner.
  • Uphold a customer-focused approach by being responsive to evolving customer requirements, including being flexible regarding travel and time away from home as necessary.
  • Foster and maintain strong communication and relationships with all key stakeholders—customers, distributors, Alimak Group employees, and suppliers—to support regional business growth in alignment with Alimak Group values.

Qualifications & Competencies:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Mechanical or electrical engineering degree
  • Bachelor of Business Administration is a plus
  • 3 years experience in a similar role in an engineering or industrial company
  • Experience with Alimak or other rack & pinion or traction elevators company is a plus
  • Dynamic self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible attitude to working hours to allow the team to meet it’s customer commitment targets
  • Analytical by nature, robust and fact-based in decision making
  • Experience of working in an engineering or industrial environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good English spoken and written skills (Arabic and French is a plus)
  • Excellent IT skills including but not limited to MS Office, Salesforce (or other CRM), Industrial Info Resources (or other market intelligence database), CPQ for example
  • Technical knowledge, mechanical and electrical
