SALES ASSOCIATE

Job Summary:
As a Sales Associate and Wrapper at our chocolate shop, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the presentation and packaging of our delicious chocolate products meet our standards of quality and excellence. You will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, handling transactions, and wrapping chocolates with care and precision. Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet customers warmly as they enter the shop.
• Assist customers in selecting chocolates, providing product information, and answering any questions they may have.
• Offer suggestions and recommendations based on customer preferences and occasion.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ensure a positive and memorable shopping experience for every customer.
• Sales and Transactions:
• Process sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment securely.
• Maintain an organized and tidy cash register area.
• Upsell and cross-sell products to increase sales revenue.
• Keep track of inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.
• Chocolate Wrapping and Presentation:
• Wrap individual chocolates, truffles, and gift boxes with precision and attention to detail.
• Ensure chocolates are packaged neatly and securely to maintain freshness and aesthetic appeal.
• Arrange wrapped chocolates in displays and gift baskets attractively.
• Monitor and replenish wrapping supplies as needed.
• Follow established wrapping and packaging guidelines to maintain consistency and brand image.
• Cleanliness and Maintenance:
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop, including wrapping stations, display cases, and customer seating areas.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to management promptly.
• Product Knowledge and Training:
• Stay informed about our chocolate products, including ingredients, flavor profiles, and production processes.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Share product information and recommendations with customers to enhance their shopping experience.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
