Duties

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
• Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently, ensuring accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Supervise and train new team members on store policies, procedures, and best practices for customer engagement.
• Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and encourage sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed attractively.
• Utilize basic math skills to handle cash transactions and perform retail math calculations as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and enhance overall store performance.

Experience

• Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred, particularly in grocery stores or similar settings.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience operating cash registers or POS systems.
• Basic math skills are essential for processing transactions accurately.
• Experience in supervising team members is a plus but not required.
• A proactive attitude towards learning about products and sales techniques will be advantageous.
