Sales Associate

We are looking to employ a knowledgeable and experienced Budtender to assist customers in selecting suitable cannabis products. The responsibilities of the Budtender include greeting and welcoming customers, informing the manager of customer complaints and operational issues, and sharing firsthand experiences of cannabis products to address customer concerns. You should also be able to answer customers’ questions regarding the different strains of cannabis, their medicinal uses, and methods of consumption.

To be successful as a Budtender, you should keep abreast of the latest developments in cannabis laws to maintain legal compliance. Ultimately, and outstanding Budtender should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills by ensuring that customers are well-informed and satisfied with their purchases.

Job Duties Include but not limited to:

• Providing customers with product knowledge and recommendations to help them make informed decisions about products
• Checking IDs to ensure that only those 21 years or older are allowed to enter the dispensary
• Explaining the effects of different strains of cannabis and their uses
• Performing inventory checks to track the amount of product being sold in order to restock supplies as needed
• Educating customers about cannabis use through one-on-one conversation
• Engaging customers in conversation to create a comfortable environment that encourages them to purchase products
• Processing payments for cannabis purchases, including cash handling.
• Reviewing state regulations regarding cannabis use to ensure compliance with state laws. Daily limits for example.
• Providing expertise on cannabis strains, consumption methods, health benefits, product pricing, testing results, and other information about products for customers.
