Job Overview
We are seeking a field-oriented Sales Associate for B2B sales of insulating varnishes and allied electrical insulation products. This is a home-based role requiring extensive travel within the assigned region, including factory-to-factory and city-to-city visits.
Insulating varnish is a liquid electrical insulation material used to protect and enhance the performance of electrical windings and components in motors, transformers, generators, and coils. When applied and cured, it forms a strong, insulating film that increases dielectric strength and reduces the risk of electrical short circuits and failures. Insulating varnish also improves mechanical integrity by binding windings together, minimising vibration and movement during operation. In addition, it protects electrical components from moisture, dust, chemicals, and other environmental factors. By filling air gaps within windings, the varnish aids in better heat dissipation and thermal stability. Overall, insulating varnish is a critical material that improves reliability, efficiency, and service life of electrical equipment.
The role involves independent territory management, regular customer visits, and participation in quarterly briefing and review meetings in Delhi.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, develop, and manage B2B customers in electrical, motor, transformer, coil winding, and related industrial sectors.
- Conduct regular visits to manufacturing units, OEMs, and industrial facilities to promote insulating varnishes.
- Generate new leads, convert prospects into customers, and achieve assigned sales targets.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with purchase teams, production heads, R&D personnel, and key decision-makers.
- Understand customer application requirements and coordinate with technical teams for product trials and approvals.
- Handle commercial discussions, follow-ups, and order closures.
Territory & Travel Management
- Travel extensively within the assigned territory, including inter-city and inter-industrial area travel.
- Plan and execute systematic factory-to-factory visits to maximize coverage and business potential.
CRM, Reporting & MS Office
- Use online CRM platforms to record leads, customer interactions, and follow-ups.
- Prepare sales reports, visit reports, and forecasts using MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Maintain accurate and timely digital records as per company processes.
Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with production, dispatch, quality, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of orders.
- Attend quarterly sales reviews, training, and briefing sessions in Delhi.
- Share regular market intelligence, competitor updates, and customer feedback.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of B2B sales experience in chemicals, insulating varnishes, wire enamels, paints, coatings, resins, or related industrial products.
- Experience in selling technical or application-based products to factories is preferred.
Language Requirements
- Fluent in English
- Ability to speak Marathi is mandatory for regional customer interaction
Mobility & Work Setup
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
- Must possess:
- A valid driving license
- A personal vehicle for work-related travel
- A personal smartphone and/or laptop with reliable internet access
- Travel and business-related expenses will be reimbursed as per company policy.
Digital & CRM Skills
- Proficiency in online CRM systems.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Comfortable with email, WhatsApp Business, and digital reporting tools.
Compensation & Incentives
- Basic Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month (based on experience and capability)
- Incentives: Performance-based incentives linked to sales targets and business development
- Incentive Payout:
- Incentives will be released after completion of two (2) months of job performance, subject to achievement of defined targets and adherence to company reporting and CRM requirements
- Reimbursements: Travel and work-related expenses as per company policy
