Sales Associate- Part-time

We collaborate with The California Surf Museum, Oceanside Museum of Art, and feature brands such as Sackcloth and Ashes, Apothia, and Paula Rosen. Our store also hosts engaging events that introduce local designers, artists, musicians, activists, photographers, and authors, celebrating the best of Oceanside, West Coast, and California living.

Now Hiring: Part-Time Sales Associates

We are looking for part-time Sales Associates to join our team! Ideal candidates will have experience in specialty boutiques and a passion for providing a high-level, personalized shopping experience. In this role, you’ll help customers discover unique merchandise, offer expert recommendations, and ensure a seamless, luxury-level shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve Sales Goals: Consistently meet and exceed individual and store targets through relationship-based sales and client development.
  • Elevated Styling: Provide personalized styling and wardrobe building that reflects The Ozone’s coastal-luxury aesthetic.
  • Client Book Management: Maintain and grow a personal client list through ongoing outreach, follow-up, and tailored service.
  • Client Portfolio: Introduce and engage your existing clientele with The Ozone experience.
  • Opening & Closing Duties: Perform daily store operations including opening, closing, and maintaining boutique presentation standards.
  • Merchandising & Visual Standards: Ensure the sales floor is pristine by steaming, folding, sizing, restocking, and assisting with floor set changes.
  • Inventory Support: Assist with receiving, tagging, transfers, and monitoring stock levels.
  • Customer Experience: Deliver a welcoming, luxury-level experience in styling rooms and on the sales floor.
  • Events & Activations: Participate in in-store events, styling appointments, and brand collaborations.
  • POS & Transactions: Confidently manage sales, returns, exchanges, and gift card transactions.
  • Team Contribution: Collaborate with store leadership and peers to maintain seamless operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Two years of retail experience, preferably in a specialty boutique or high-end retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of curated retail, artisan brands, and lifestyle merchandise.
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a passion for building client relationships.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and the ability to learn new technology.
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills.
  • Weekend availability is a must.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays as needed.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Job Details

Pay Rate: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
