Role Overview

The Business Development Manager / Lead Generation Manager will be responsible for identifying, generating, and converting high-quality business leads to expand TradeUnleashed’s customer base. This role focuses on building strategic relationships, understanding client business pain points, and driving adoption of the TradeUnleashed platform across retail, logistics, and eCommerce sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation

  • Research and identify potential clients (retail stores, eCommerce businesses, logistics providers, courier companies, COD partners, manufacturers).
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and market research.
  • Use CRM and other tools to track leads, follow-ups, and conversion metrics.

Business Development

  • Present and demo TradeUnleashed’s suite of solutions to prospects, explaining features like Cloud POS, inventory control, eCommerce integration, courier/logistics integration, BI dashboards, and accounting automation. Trade Unleashed
  • Convert prospects into paying clients through persuasive communication and tailored proposals.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and onboard new customers.

Market & Partnership Expansion

  • Identify new industry sectors and regions to expand market footprint.
  • Build strategic partnerships with courier networks, logistics companies, marketplace sellers, and technology partners.
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, or industry meetups to represent TradeUnleashed.

Sales Reporting & Forecasting

  • Track and report monthly/quarterly lead generation and business development KPIs.
  • Provide insights from the field and recommend improvements to sales strategy and product positioning.
  • Collaborate with marketing to refine messaging and campaigns based on market feedback.

Customer Engagement & Retention

  • Act as the first point of contact and build strong relationships with new clients.
  • Support client onboarding hand-off and ensure successful implementation in collaboration with the delivery team.

Experience & Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
  • 3–6 years experience in lead generation, business development, sales, or B2B client acquisition — ideally in SaaS, technology, eCommerce, retail tech, logistics, or related sectors.
  • Proven ability to generate leads and meet/exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong networking ability, especially in retail, eCommerce, or logistics ecosystems.

Preferred

  • Experience selling cloud-based solutions/SaaS or ERP platforms.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales automation tools.
  • Relationships with industry stakeholders in retail, logistics, marketplaces, or courier services.
