Sales Clerk

Job Summary
The Sales Clerk is responsible for assisting customers with waste management solutions, including the sale and promotion of waste bins and related services. Provides excellent customer service by answering inquiries, processing transactions, and ensuring customers are matched with the appropriate products for their needs. Maintains accurate sales records, prepares invoices, and supports account management activities. Works closely with operations to coordinate deliveries and ensure timely service.

Duties

  • Selling and upselling waste bins, recycling containers, and disposal solutions to residential and commercial customers
  • Educating customers on waste management services, pricing, and compliance requirements.
  • Processing orders, payments, and documentation with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Supporting customer accounts through follow-ups, renewals, and service coordination.
  • Maintaining inventory of bins and supplies while monitoring sales trends.
  • Other duties as assigned by Operations

Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Previous experience in sales, retail, or customer service (waste management industry experience a plus).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively assist and educate customers.
  • Basic math and computer skills for handling transactions, invoices, and inventory.
  • Ability to communicate, read and write effectively in English to record pickups and maintain daily records
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with operations.

  • Primarily office-based setting with regular interaction with customers in person, by phone, and through email.
  • Standard office equipment used daily (computer, printer, phone system, point-of-sale software).
  • Collaborative team environment, working closely with operations staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
