Sales Engineer

Essential job duties and Responsibilities include:

We are looking for a technical salesperson who has experience with capital equipment/machinery sales and customer relationship management. Someone who will work closely with both RMG engineering team and the customer to develop a tailored solution that meets the application requirements. Candidates need to be able to work with our outside sales reps as well as identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with new and existing customers. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high sense of urgency, and an understanding of technical capital equipment sales.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with independent sales reps.
• We use manufacturing reps all over the world. This person would work directly with them and eventually would select them.
• Develop and maintain a complete understanding of the company’s products and services.
• Provide technical guidance and support to sales team and engineering.
• Work closely with our operations and planning team to make sure delivery requirements are met.
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
• This position will have upward mobility into a leadership role

Skills/Qualifications:

- BS or AS degree in an engineering discipline (Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, etc.) preferred; technical and long sales cycle experience required.

- Ideal candidate will have a good understanding of machine design, applications and experience in technical capital equipment

- Prior knowledge of metallurgy, wire forming processes, and cold forming is very helpful

Travel will be required.
