Job Description of Sales Engineer

We are seeking a Sales Engineer to support our business growth by combining strong technical expertise with consultative selling. This role plays a critical part in translating client requirements into effective product and technology solutions, supporting the sales process from pre-sales through deal closure.

Location: Kudlu Gate, Bengaluru

Work Mode: Work from Office

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift Timing: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Work Week: Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the sales team to understand client business challenges and recommend suitable Orbit Core Tech products and IT solutions.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, solution walkthroughs, and technical presentations for Orbit Care, Orbit Learn, Orbit HRMS, and Orbit Connect.
  • Design solution architectures aligned with customer needs, scalability, and security requirements.
  • Support pre-sales activities including RFP/RFI responses, technical proposals, and cost estimations.
  • Act as the technical point of contact during customer discussions, addressing queries and objections.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to validate solution feasibility and timelines.
  • Support smooth transition from sales to delivery through detailed technical handovers.
  • Track market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies relevant to Orbit Core Tech.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor / Master Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or any technical discipline.
  • 3-6 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales, or Technical Consulting role.
  • Strong understanding of software products, SaaS platforms, cloud-based solutions, or enterprise IT services.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with CRM tools and structured sales processes.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
