Sales Engineer – Marine Electrical & Automation

Location: UAE | Oman | India

About the Role

Al Mabrouk Marine Services LLC is seeking a Sales Engineer – Marine Electrical & Automation to drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting our specialized marine electrical and automation solutions.

This role involves close collaboration with ship owners, shipyards, OEMs, and fleet managers to strengthen our market presence across key regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the marine electrical and automation sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with ship owners, shipyards, OEMs, and other stakeholders.
  • Promote services including PLC/SCADA retrofits, switchboard upgrades, VFD installations, and engine control system refurbishments.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Prepare technical-commercial proposals, quotations, and client presentations.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and service teams to align solutions with client needs.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and ensure consistent revenue growth.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and client feedback.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or Marine Engineering.

Experience: Minimum 5 years in business development or sales within the marine or industrial automation sector.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of marine electrical systems, PLCs (Siemens, Delta, Schneider), SCADA, and automation technologies.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Strategic, customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate technical features into business value.

Technical Proficiency: MS Office, CRM tools, and familiarity with digital marketing.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Sales & Marketing certifications
  • Marine Safety & Firefighting Awareness
  • OEM Automation Training

Working Conditions

  • Primarily onshore with occasional offshore or dry dock visits depending on project requirements.
