Job Summary:

The Sales Engineer – Water Treatment is responsible for developing and managing customer relationships, providing technical expertise on water / wastewater treatment solutions. This role combines engineering knowledge with sales skills to meet client requirements across industrial, municipal, and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in water / wastewater treatment markets
  • Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, technical evaluation, proposal, negotiation, and closing
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations and proposals
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals

Technical & Engineering Support:

  • Assess customer needs through site visits, water analysis and process evaluations
  • Experience in appropriate water treatment solutions (e.g., filtration, RO, softening, chemical treatment (cooling tower, closed loop,

boiler…,& wastewater treatment systems (STP, Grey Water Recycling, TSE Polishing plant… )

  • Collaborate with engineering, operations and service teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support as needed

Market & Industry Knowledge:

  • Monitor competitor activity and provide market intelligence
  • Ensure solutions comply with local and international water quality standards
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare technical specifications, quotations and sales reports
  • Maintain records and accurate sales forecasts

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering


Experience:

  • 2–3+ years of experience in sales, technical sales or applications engineering in water treatment
  • Experience with industrial, municipal or commercial water systems preferred


Sales & Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, results-driven and comfortable working independently
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits and site assessments


Salary & Benefits:

Salary: AED 4,000 – 7,000 per month (depending on experience)

Commission / Incentives: Performance-based sales commission
