We are seeking a reliable and motivated Lot Tech to join our dynamic team at Cutter GMC Mazda of Waipahu. The successful candidate will support the operations of the dealership by ensuring the proper management of vehicles on the lot, assisting with vehicle movement, and providing support to the sales and service departments. The position requires a valid driver’s license and a clean driving abstract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Management:
  • Assist with the movement, organization, and presentation of vehicles on the dealership lot to ensure they are accessible and neatly arranged.
  • Drive vehicles to and from various locations, including service bays, customer pick-up areas, and auctions.
  • Conduct regular lot checks to ensure all vehicles are accounted for and in proper condition.
  • Lot Organization:
  • Ensure vehicles are parked in their designated areas, making efficient use of space.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the lot, ensuring it is free of debris and vehicles are properly aligned.
  • Assist in setting up vehicles for display or appointments.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of stores.
  • Vehicle Inspections:
  • Perform basic inspections of vehicles on the lot for any exterior or interior damage and report findings to the appropriate manager.
  • Monitor vehicle fluid levels, tire pressures, and ensure vehicles are ready for test drives or customer viewing.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Assist the sales team with organizing and preparing vehicles for delivery to customers.
  • Support the service department by coordinating the movement of vehicles to and from service areas.
  • Help maintain accurate records of vehicle locations and status for inventory purposes.
  • Making sure all vehicles are cleaned and photos are taken and uploaded.
  • Customer Service:
  • Provide excellent service to customers and guests, offering assistance with vehicle inquiries when needed.
  • Occasionally support the sales team in welcoming customers and directing them to the appropriate staff

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a dealership or automotive environment preferred, but not required.
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
  • Ability to safely operate a variety of vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and care is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, and stoop frequently.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
