Job Summary
The Sales Manager is a key function within the TA Aerospace organization that ensures that TA provides world class responsiveness and customer engagement to help identify and solve problems while maintaining our leading position in the market. The Sales Manager is expected to travel >50% to keep face to face meetings at our customer locations with Engineering, Procurement, Program Management, and Senior Leadership at each of their locations. The Sales Manager must be a data driven individual who remains close to industry trends, aircraft build rates, and overhaul data to ensure TA Aerospace captures the maximize market potential and continually provides improved solutions to both new and existing customer base. Additionally, the Sales Manager is our key driver to entering new markets that may position TA Aerospace for significant growth over a 3-5 year period.
Primary Responsibilities
- Accountable for weekly, monthly, and quarterly bookings targets by customer and market segment to ensure monthly outlook commitments are met.
- Autonomous – Manage customer relationships and drive new business opportunities by looking for supply chain issues or building customer relationships to exceed new business growth targets
- Foster Teamwork – Identify gaps and step in as necessary, key areas include quote support if key bids require urgency to ensure a win
- Business Decisions Based on the Right Amount of Data – Gain/establish active knowledge of TA capabilities, process, and future plans to effectively communicate with our customers
- Draw People Together Cross Functionally – Provide insight to opportunities and how/what they have potential to grow into
- Data Driven – Utilize and build ERP driven data to focus decision making regarding time and territory, growth trends, and potential
- Contract Negotiations – Support contract negotiations and communication in line with the Business Unit Manager
- Employees primary duties require him/her to use discretion and independent judgement

Education/Previous Experience Requirements
- 4-year college degree required preferably in Business or Engineering. MBA desirable but not required.
- 5 - 7 years of business management experience
- 5 – 7 years of sales and marketing experience in the aerospace industry
