Job Summary
The Sales Manager – Insurance Broking is responsible for driving insurance sales, developing new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and leading a sales team to achieve revenue targets. The role involves promoting insurance products across Life, General, and Health Insurance in compliance with IRDAI regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in corporate and retail insurance segments
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Promote insurance products including Life, Health, Motor, and General Insurance
- Develop customized insurance solutions based on client requirements
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, SMEs, and individual customers
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Team Management
- Recruit, train, and manage sales executives / relationship managers
- Set performance targets and monitor team productivity
- Provide regular coaching and motivation to the sales team
Insurer & Market Coordination
- Coordinate with insurance companies for quotations, policy issuance, renewals, and claims support
- Stay updated on insurance products, pricing, and market trends
- Ensure smooth policy servicing and timely renewals
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to IRDAI guidelines and company policies
- Maintain accurate sales reports, MIS, and pipeline tracking
- Support audit and compliance requirements

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (MBA in Marketing / Finance preferred)
- 1–5 years of experience in insurance sales or insurance broking
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Valid IRDAI certification (preferred)
