Sales Manager – Merchant Cash Advance (MCA)

Position Summary

The Sales Manager will be responsible for recruiting, training, mentoring, and managing a team of Funding Specialists and Closers while driving company revenue growth. This individual will develop sales strategies, monitor KPIs, improve conversion rates, and lead from the front by helping close high-value deals when necessary. Similar MCA sales leadership positions commonly require experience managing sales teams, building pipelines, recruiting talent, coaching closers, and driving funding volume.

Key Responsibilities

Recruit, train, and develop a team of MCA sales representatives and closers.

Set daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals and hold team members accountable.

Monitor calls, provide coaching, and improve closing ratios.

Develop and implement sales processes, scripts, and best practices.

Manage sales pipelines and CRM activity.

Track KPIs including:

Call volume

Applications submitted

Approval rate

Funding rate

Revenue generated

Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions and sales meetings.

Work closely with underwriting and management teams to maximize funded deals.

Assist in closing large opportunities and strategic accounts.

Build and maintain relationships with merchants, ISOs, brokers, and referral partners.

Create a high-performance, competitive sales culture focused on growth and accountability.

Qualifications

Required

3+ years of Merchant Cash Advance, business lending, or alternative finance experience.

1+ years managing or leading a sales team.

Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales goals.

Experience recruiting, coaching, and motivating sales professionals.

Strong understanding of MCA products, underwriting guidelines, and funding processes.

Experience using CRM platforms and sales tracking systems.

Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment.

Preferred

Existing network within the MCA industry.

Experience managing closers, brokers, or ISO relationships.

Background in financial services, business lending, or commercial finance.

College degree preferred but not required.
