Sales Manager

We are seeking a dual-focused leader to manage an internal sales team while serving as the primary point of contact for our partner clients. This role is responsible for driving revenue through team coaching, ensuring operational accuracy in order tracking, and acting as the bridge between our sales floor and the clients whose products we represent. You will also own the talent pipeline by interviewing and presenting qualified sales agents to clients for approval.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Team Management & Coaching

Manage a team of sales agents, providing daily guidance on prospecting, negotiation, and closing techniques.

Monitor individual and team performance against quotas; identify skill gaps and deliver targeted coaching to generate new sales opportunities.

Conduct weekly pipeline reviews to ensure the team is actively sourcing new leads.

2. Operational Tracking & Compliance

Oversee the accurate tracking of all team orders through the CRM and order management systems.

Verify order details for accuracy before processing to client fulfillment teams.

Maintain a real-time dashboard of team activity, conversion rates, and revenue generated per client.

3. Training & Development

Facilitate new hire onboarding focused on product knowledge (features, benefits, use cases, and competitive differentiators).

Develop and update product training materials and certification as client catalogs evolve.

Conduct ongoing sessions to keep the team updated on new product releases.

4. Client Reporting & Relationship Management

Serve as the direct liaison for clients whose products we are selling.

Produce and deliver daily/weekly/monthly performance reports to clients, detailing sales volume, agent performance, market feedback, and order status.

Lead quarterly business reviews with clients to align sales strategies with their inventory and marketing goals.

5. Recruitment & Client Presentation

Source, screen, and interview prospective sales agents to expand the team.

Evaluate candidates for sales aptitude, cultural fit, and industry knowledge.

Present shortlisted candidates to clients for final approval before hiring, ensuring the client has sign-off on who represents their brand.

Qualifications & Competencies

Experience:

4+ years of experience in sales management (B2B & B2C).

Proven track record of training sales teams on technical or complex products.

Experience managing client-facing reporting or account management.

Skills:

Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and order management systems.

Strong data analysis skills to translate sales performance into client-ready reports (Excel/Google Sheets).

Excellent presentation and public speaking skills for interviewing and client meetings.

Ability to handle difficult conversations (e.g., explaining underperformance to a client or coaching a struggling agent).

Soft Skills:

High emotional intelligence to manage the needs of both clients (external) and agents (internal).

Detail-oriented regarding order tracking to prevent shipment errors.

Decisive when selecting candidates to present to clients.
