Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager with deep expertise in Construction Materials. The candidate must have strong product knowledge, market understanding, and an established network within the construction ecosystem. The role focuses exclusively on promoting, specifying, and selling construction materials to contractors, builders, developers, infrastructure companies, and channel partners.

Product Portfolio Expertise Required

Hands-on experience in selling one or more of the following construction material categories:

  • Cement & Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC)
  • Steel (TMT bars, structural steel)
  • Tiles & Sanitary Ware
  • Plumbing & CPVC/UPVC Pipes
  • Electrical & Lighting Materials
  • Construction Chemicals (waterproofing, adhesives, grouts, sealants)
  • Paints & Coatings
  • AAC Blocks / Bricks / Aggregates
  • Roofing & Insulation Materials
  • Plywood & Interior Construction Materials

Core Responsibilities – Construction Materials Focus1. Project-Based Sales Management

  • Identify upcoming residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
  • Track project lifecycle from planning to execution.
  • Secure material approvals and product specifications in project BOQs.
  • Coordinate with site engineers and procurement teams for bulk orders.

2. Specification & Technical Selling

  • Work closely with architects, consultants, and civil engineers to get product approvals.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations at sites.
  • Provide technical support related to material performance and application.

3. Contractor & Builder Network Development

  • Maintain strong relationships with contractors, site supervisors, and project managers.
  • Develop loyalty programs and repeat business pipelines.
  • Ensure consistent supply support for ongoing construction sites.

4. Channel & Dealer Management

  • Appoint and manage dealers/distributors for construction materials.
  • Monitor secondary sales and stock movement.
  • Ensure proper inventory planning to avoid stock-outs.

5. Pricing & Commercial Control

  • Manage project-based pricing.
  • Negotiate bulk discounts while protecting margins.
  • Monitor market pricing trends of cement, steel, and other materials.

6. Site Execution Support

  • Conduct regular site visits to understand material consumption.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules aligned with project timelines.
  • Resolve site-level material issues and service complaints.

7. Market Intelligence

  • Track competitor brands and pricing in the construction materials market.
  • Monitor infrastructure and real estate developments in Hyderabad.
  • Identify large EPC and government tender opportunities.

Technical & Industry Knowledge Required

  • Understanding of BOQ (Bill of Quantities)
  • Knowledge of IS standards and quality compliance
  • Familiarity with project procurement cycles
  • Basic understanding of construction processes (foundation, structural, finishing)
  • Knowledge of credit cycles in construction industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹32,551.36 - ₹62,101.91 per month
