We are seeking a Group Sales Manager to grow El Tropicano’s presence within the San Antonio hospitality market. This role is responsible for generating new business, building lasting relationships, and positioning the hotel as a go-to destination for corporate groups, social gatherings, association business, and special events.

This is an opportunity for a driven hospitality professional to play a key role in shaping the future of El Tropicano while helping create memorable guest experiences that feel effortless, energetic, and distinctly local.

What You’ll Own

Group Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Actively generate new business through networking, outbound sales efforts, prospecting, community involvement, and relationship-building
  • Identify opportunities to grow market share across corporate, association, SMERF, tour & travel, and social group segments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, planners, travel partners, and local organizations
  • Position Sitio El Tropicano as one of San Antonio’s most dynamic and welcoming destinations for group stays and gatherings

Client Relationships & Experience

  • Serve as a trusted partner by understanding client goals and helping shape tailored experiences that align with the energy and personality of El Tropicano
  • Deliver responsive, thoughtful service that builds repeat business and long-term partnerships

Strategy & Market Presence

  • Help shape the vision and long-term foundation for group business at El Tropicano
  • Contribute ideas that strengthen the hotel’s sales strategy, partnerships, programming, and visibility within the market
  • Stay connected to hospitality trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities within San Antonio and beyond

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner closely with hotel leadership, revenue management, catering, and operations teams to achieve sales goals and create seamless guest experiences
  • Support the development of sales initiatives, promotions, and business development strategies
  • Maintain accurate reporting, forecasting, and account management within sales systems

Who You Are

  • A proactive business developer who enjoys networking, prospecting, and building meaningful relationships
  • A strong communicator with confidence in sales conversations, negotiations, and client presentations
  • Motivated by building something meaningful and contributing to the growth of a lifestyle-driven hospitality brand

Preferred Experience

  • 2+ years of hotel sales, group sales, hospitality, or business development experience
  • Experience within lifestyle hotels, resorts, or destination-driven hospitality brands preferred
  • Bonus points for Delphi experience
  • Knowledge of the San Antonio buyer market strongly preferred

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
