Sales Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for Sales and lead generation and fulfilment of budgeted targets.
- Responsible for preparation of sales budget and monitoring of the targets.
- Reporting order received / lost to management.
- Perform technical discussions with clients and end customers, presentations and preparation of proposals in order to increase value preposition of the offering.
- Be involved in all stages in the sales pipeline, from the initial enquiry, budgetary quotations, costing and final contract negotiation with the clients.
- Responsible for local contract management – Letter of Credits, follow-up on drawing approvals from Class/3rd party, freight insurance & payments deliverables, SAT’s & handover of the equipment to owners, closure of warranty claims etc.,
- Cross – Selling different products and solutions as a package to ship owners and shipyards thereby increasing the profitability of the company and enhance the value for end customer.
- Responsible for co-ordination and deputation of Service Engineer’s for Installation, Erection and Commissioning of equipment’s at the shipyards, terminals and ports in the region.
- Responsible for Customer Relationship management for key accounts – shipyard, ship-owner, commercial ship management company, ports, Navy, Coast Guards.
- Implementation of the action plan for the year and work on the feedback from clients to enhance the relationship and trust.
- Represent the company in important conferences, seminars and professional gathering of maritime industry.
- Keeping tab on developments in the Maritime and allied industry, suggesting service offering improvements to help enable get more business.
Essential:
· Minimum 8+ years of experience in sales within commercial ship management, ship repair, or OEM companies.
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Marine, or Mechanical).
· Master’s degree in MBA/Sales/Marketing will be an added advantage.
· Strong understanding of commercial ship management, ship repair operations, and marine systems.
· Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing complex client relationships.
· Highly sales-driven professional with strong business acumen and result-oriented mindset.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Proficient in ERP/CRM systems and MS Office applications.
· Fluent in spoken and written English.
· Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively under pressure.
Work Environment:
· Office and field work, including visits to commercial ship owners, ship management companies, repair yards, ports, designers, consultants, Navy, and Coast Guards.
· Requires frequent travel, typically around 3 days per week, based on client and project requirements.
