Sales & Administrative Coordinator – Local Produce

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Sales & Administrative Coordinator to help grow our local produce sales and strengthen relationships within our community. Our farm has been operating since the early 1980s and continues to focus on high-quality, locally grown produce. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, become engaged in a small but growing business, and take pride in connecting customers with exceptional local food.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Relations

  • Communicate with current and prospective customers via phone, email, and in person
  • Grow and maintain a strong local customer base, including retail and wholesale accounts
  • Take customer orders and accurately enter them into QuickBooks
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with existing customers while identifying new sales opportunities
  • Assist with regular deliveries and customer outreach
  • Create and send marketing emails and customer communications using Mailchimp

Administrative & Office Support

  • Answer and direct phone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner
  • Arrange and coordinate deliveries and customer pickups
  • Enter orders, invoices, and payments into QuickBooks
  • Maintain organized records related to orders, payments, and inventory
  • Support general administrative tasks to keep operations running smoothly

Operations, Packing & Physical Work

  • Pull, pack, and stage produce orders in walk-in coolers
  • Perform regular physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods
  • Manage inventory with attention to quality, freshness, and availability
  • Assist with manager role at farmers markets as needed, including setup, breakdown, and product handle

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in a cooler environment
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets and basic administrative systems
  • Passion for high-quality, local produce
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Google Sheets, and Mailchimp is strongly encouraged but not required; training can be provided

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
