About OptiLux Esthetics

OptiLux Esthetics is a medical esthetics and ocular wellness brand operating under See More Eye Care OD, PLLC, an established optometric medical practice in South Raleigh.

OptiLux exists at the intersection of eye care, facial wellness, IPL/light-based technology, skincare, dry eye-adjacent treatment education, and premium patient experience. Because we are connected to a medical eye care practice, our brand is built on clinical professionalism, ethical patient education, trust, documentation, and long-term care — not superficial beauty trends.

We are seeking a Sales & Marketing Director who can help grow OptiLux Esthetics by increasing awareness, generating leads, converting consultations, promoting treatment packages, developing referral channels, and creating a polished client experience from first contact to long-term retention.

Position Overview

The Sales & Marketing Director will be responsible for helping build the client base and revenue engine of OptiLux Esthetics.

This role is ideal for someone who is confident, polished, organized, persuasive, ethical, and entrepreneurial. The right candidate understands that a successful esthetics brand does not grow by waiting for clients to appear. It grows through consistent outreach, follow-up, education, content, relationship-building, sales systems, and excellent patient experience.

This is not simply a social media role. This is a business development, sales, marketing, and client conversion role inside a medical esthetics brand.

The ideal candidate may have experience in esthetics, med spa sales, skincare, retail sales, healthcare marketing, luxury service sales, cosmetics, wellness, or patient care. Esthetics licensure is helpful but not required unless the candidate will also perform treatments.

Core Responsibilities

1. Client Growth & Lead Generation

  • Develop strategies to attract new OptiLux clients from inside and outside the existing See More Eye Care patient base.
  • Identify opportunities to educate eye care patients about OptiLux services when appropriate.
  • Generate leads through internal referrals, social media, community outreach, events, partnerships, and patient education.
  • Build and maintain a lead pipeline for consultations, IPL treatments, skincare services, and treatment packages.
  • Track leads from first contact through consultation, booking, conversion, and retention.
  • Follow up consistently with interested clients who have not yet booked.
  • Help convert patient interest into scheduled consultations and paid treatment plans.

2. Sales & Consultation Conversion

  • Conduct or support client consultations focused on education, trust, and ethical recommendations.
  • Explain OptiLux services, treatment benefits, package options, skincare products, and follow-up plans.
  • Recommend services and packages based on client goals, concerns, and clinical appropriateness.
  • Sell treatment packages, skincare products, membership-style options, and promotional offers.
  • Communicate value confidently without pressuring clients.
  • Help overcome objections related to price, uncertainty, timing, or treatment expectations.
  • Build long-term client relationships that support repeat visits and referrals.

3. Marketing Strategy & Brand Development

  • Help develop the local marketing strategy for OptiLux Esthetics.
  • Create marketing campaigns around IPL, skincare, facial wellness, ocular wellness, dry eye-adjacent education, seasonal promotions, and treatment packages.
  • Help position OptiLux as a premium but medically grounded esthetics brand.
  • Develop messaging that is professional, tasteful, clear, and aligned with See More Eye Care OD, PLLC.
  • Coordinate promotional calendars, campaign ideas, educational themes, and patient-facing materials.
  • Help improve brand consistency across social media, website content, printed materials, in-office signage, and patient communication.

4. Social Media & Content Creation

  • Create or coordinate social media content for OptiLux Esthetics.
  • Develop educational posts, short videos, reels, before-and-after content when appropriate, treatment explanations, staff features, and promotional content.
  • Ensure social media content reflects a polished, professional, medical-adjacent brand.
  • Avoid exaggerated, misleading, or inappropriate claims.
  • Respond to online inquiries professionally and help convert interest into booked appointments.
  • Track which types of content generate engagement, leads, and consultations.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership before posting medical or treatment-related claims.

5. Internal Patient Education

  • Work with See More Eye Care staff to identify appropriate opportunities for OptiLux education.
  • Help train front desk and clinical staff on how to introduce OptiLux services professionally.
  • Create simple scripts, handouts, FAQs, and patient education materials.
  • Support internal promotions for existing patients who may benefit from esthetic or ocular wellness services.
  • Help bridge the relationship between the medical eye care side and the esthetics side of the business.

6. Community Outreach & Partnerships

  • Build relationships with local businesses, gyms, salons, wellness providers, women’s groups, professionals, and community organizations.
  • Coordinate local events, open houses, promotional days, educational sessions, and partnership opportunities.
  • Represent OptiLux Esthetics professionally in the community.
  • Help develop referral relationships that bring qualified clients into the practice.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-promotion with aligned brands and local organizations.

7. Retail & Product Sales

  • Promote skincare products and retail offerings in an ethical and educational manner.
  • Help develop retail displays, product bundles, seasonal promotions, and patient education materials.
  • Track retail sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Teach clients how products support their treatment plans and long-term results.
  • Work with leadership to select products that align with the brand and patient needs.

8. Client Experience & Retention

  • Ensure clients receive professional follow-up before and after consultations or treatments.
  • Help create a premium, welcoming, and organized experience.
  • Track client satisfaction, treatment progress, repeat visits, and referral opportunities.
  • Help design retention systems such as follow-up reminders, treatment series tracking, memberships, loyalty programs, and reactivation campaigns.
  • Handle client questions or concerns with professionalism and emotional intelligence.

9. Metrics, Reporting & Accountability

  • Track and report key growth metrics, including:
  • New leads generated
  • Consultations booked
  • Consultations completed
  • Conversion rate
  • Treatment packages sold
  • Retail sales
  • Revenue generated
  • Social media engagement
  • Referral sources
  • Follow-up completion
  • Client retention
  • Provide weekly updates to ownership on progress, challenges, opportunities, and recommended next steps.
  • Use numbers to guide decisions, not guesswork.
  • Take ownership of growth goals and revenue development.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, marketing, business development, client relations, med spa sales, skincare, aesthetics, healthcare marketing, retail sales, luxury service sales, or wellness-related growth roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to educate, persuade, and follow up professionally.
  • Comfort with social media platforms and basic content creation.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage leads, follow-ups, and campaigns.
  • Professional appearance, judgment, and communication style.
  • Ability to represent a medical-adjacent esthetics brand with maturity and discretion.
  • Willingness to work in a team-based healthcare environment.
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and follow-through.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a med spa, dermatology, ophthalmology, optometry, plastic surgery, dental cosmetics, wellness clinic, skincare, or beauty service environment.
  • Experience selling treatment packages, memberships, skincare products, or premium services.
  • Esthetician license or skincare training preferred, but not required unless performing treatments.
  • IPL, laser, or light-based treatment knowledge preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience with Canva, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Google Business Profile, email marketing, CRM systems, or lead tracking tools.
  • Comfort appearing on camera or helping create video content.

  • Does not want to track leads, conversions, and performance metrics.
  • Is unwilling to collaborate with a medical eye care team.
  • Prefers a casual spa environment without systems, accountability, or clinical professionalism.
  • Struggles with punctuality, consistency, or professional communication.

Work Environment

This role operates inside a healthcare-based eye care practice and medical esthetics brand. The Sales & Marketing Director will interact with patients, clients, doctors, esthetics providers, office staff, vendors, and community partners.
