Role Summary

The Marketing Engineer will bridge marketing and field sales activities, focusing on customer visits, lead generation, and order follow-through. The role requires direct customer engagement, from door-to-door outreach to enquiry generation, and diligent follow-up with clients to convert opportunities into orders. The incumbent will report to the Head Office Marketing team on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct door-to-door, on-site customer visits to identify needs and generate inquiries for part of process equipment, explosion-bonded clad plates, and new fabrication offerings.

Qualify leads, capture customer requirements, and document technical specifications for handoff to engineering and production teams.

Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive outreach, follow-ups, and timely response to inquiries.

Prepare and present product solutions, RFQs, and quotations aligned with customer needs and company capabilities.

Report daily activities and updates to the HO Marketing team; maintain accurate CRM records of leads, opportunities, and status.

Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Production to ensure feasible delivery timelines and technical feasibility.

Support marketing campaigns with field insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback.

Assist in the creation of technical collaterals (brochures, datasheets, case studies) tailored to customer segments in oil & gas and steel plant equipment.

Identify potential channels for expansion (regional distributors, strategic accounts) and participate in relevant industry events, exhibitions, and conferences.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and quality standards during customer interactions and field activities.

Required Qualifications

· Any Graduate (bachelor’s degree preferred).

· Proven field marketing or sales support experience, preferably in industrial equipment, process equipment, or fabrication sectors; candidates with hands-on technical exposure are welcome.

· Willingness and ability to travel for customer visits and field meetings.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional presentation with technical audiences.

· Basic understanding of CRM usage and report generation; ability to provide daily activity updates.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in B2B industrial sales or field marketing for oil & gas, petrochemical, or steel plant equipment.

· Familiarity with technical specification gathering, RFQs, and quotations.

· Ability to read technical drawings or specifications and translate them into customer-friendly language.

Work Environment

Field-based role with office work at HO Marketing. Collaborative, target-driven, and customer-focused culture Interaction with engineering, production, and sales teams.

Metrics & KPIs

· Number of customer visits and enquiries generated per week. Lead-to-enquiry conversion rate.

· Quotation-to-order conversion rate.

· Daily CRM update compliance and quality of data.

· Revenue contributions from new accounts and regional territories. Timeliness of follow-ups and order closure.
